Each year, the cattle industry in the US hemorrhages over $200 billion due to treatment costs, lost revenue from sick cattle, antibiotic overuse, deaths, and greenhouse gas emissions. Beyond the US borders, the situation is equally critical, exacerbating the global impact of these challenges.
The unpredictability of cattle sickness poses a significant challenge. By the time it's detected, the infection spreads throughout the ranch and contaminated products shipped out. This not only risks harm to consumers but also tarnishes the brand's reputation when recalls occur, impacting quality perception.
To address this issue, many ranches administer antibiotics to all incoming calves, regardless of need, leading to antibiotic overuse, detrimental to human health.
Additionally, sick animals emit more methane, exacerbating greenhouse gas emissions. Prolonged sickness in animals only amplifies methane production, compounding environmental concerns.
MyAnIML offers comprehensive solutions spanning from cattle entry to daily maintenance, ensuring proactive management. With early notifications, typically 2-3 days in advance, ranchers can isolate soon-to-be-sick cattle, significantly reducing treatment expenses, minimizing antibiotic usage, and preventing deaths.
Swift isolation of sick cattle prevents disease transmission to other animals, facilitating prompt treatment and faster recovery. This not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also enhances biosecurity in the food supply chain, ensuring better quality products for consumers.
Cattle theft is a major issue in US with over $50M loss each year and rising. The ear tags fall off and any branding is removed thus making that cattle invisible. But with our facial recognition along with muzzle recognition, we provide a fool proof solution saving money to ranchers. The links to the key info are below, but if you would like to speak further please feel free to send an email to book a meeting with our CEO & Founder Shekhar Gupta. Here are some frequently asked questions to help you with your initial due diligence and information gathering:
We developed an AI powered app that takes a picture of a cattle and within 4 seconds shows the health issues on screen or text if you choose. We also have an offline AI edge device to be installed at a water source that analyzes pictures of multiple cattle coming in and sends a text of unhealthy animals. Both systems uses our proprietary dataset to analyze and measure changes and informs ranch manager.
Muzzle is very unique much like our fingerprints, and no two are alike. In our research, we have found that muzzle shows changes before cattle is symptomatic.
While other companies detect sickness only after cattle are already infected and spreading disease, our approach predicts symptoms 2-3 days in advance, before disease transmission begins. By intervening earlier, we prevent disease spread, setting us apart in safeguarding animal health and preventing outbreaks. Both app and AI edge device work offline and don't require any infrastructure unlike our competitors requiring electricity and Internet.
We send a notification via text or show on the screen with sick cattle’s ear tag number. We also provide Bluetooth tags with an app for the rancher to view the tag number in the app and go directly to the cattle instead of reading each tag to get to that soon to be sick cattle.
Currently we only do sick vs. healthy. We have just one disease pinkeye in our dataset with 99.4% accuracy, however we need another disease before we can start differentiating among diseases. We are working on BRD (bovine respiratory disease) dataset at this time. We are close to 70% accuracy and when we get to high 90s accuracy then we can start providing disease specific notifications.
Yes. We raised a small amount via SAFE note as our pre-seed.
We have a product in the market with paying customers. We need to hire sales, marketing, and installation engineers to start fulfilling our LOIs and build new relations.
Yes, we worked with USDA to develop validation of our tech. Please see the link above.
In addition to cattle, we intend to launch in other livestock and pets industry.
One patent is already granted that enable us to take pictures of animal face and muzzle to provide health notifications. Second patent is in final stages that will allow us to use cameras to take pictures of animal for health purposes. We have two more patent pending and several more in works.
